4 hours minimum to reach Hofpürglhütte
from Gosau. You have two choices. Hofpürglhütte is locared
just on the southern end of Gosaukamm. If you go around the Gosaukamm,
Hofpürglhütte is just in the middle of the way. Either
you start going up with the cable car and walk via Stuhlalm
to Hofpürglhütte, which I recommend in summer when it
is really hot, or you start early in the morning and walk up to
Steiglpaß. Walking down to Hofpürglhütte from Steiglpaß,
this is only for experienced walkers and you should be free from
giddiness. If you are lucky, capricorns are around.
